Why are all the shortest meaning words
Like 'infinitessimal' and 'insignificant'
Just so ... well ... ?
The weekend,
A "long" one they call it,
Yet so quickly it goes,
Then back to work.
A "short week" they'll call that,
Yet how oh-so long it goes
And drags every drop out of me
Longer and longer,
Yet shorter and shorter,
The longer it gets,
The shorter I become.
Short of what?
What an absolutely, utterly, nonsensical question!
TIME of course!
The longest, shortest word of all.
