'Half and Half' - by David Wilding
Half and Half
By David Wilding (24th March, 2009)
How do they do it?
Ten years? Five years?
Ten DAYS and I'm 'Time Out'
And only 11 months to go
How long is THAT?
Don't even THINK!
Time is relative
Another morning, another chorus,
Another headache, another pain.
I just want
To get home in one mental piece
Make that two
Cos I'm broken now
That half that wants the money
And half that needs to be there
They fight,
More pieces break from each
Shattering, cracking, down they fall
Don't sweep up!
That's my life there!
Please put it back! Find the glue!
And hairpins and tape
To get back to
What and where I want to be
Will I come out the same?
Or will I be forever changed?
Corrupted and deepened
To serve a different life and purpose
To stay sane
To enjoy where I be
Like living
Be settled
I had, but it is lost
Will it come back?
Or be "jungled" till I die?
which might come soon
If I can't fly.
'Burn With Me' - by David Wilding
- This madness ..... And people call it ... LIFE! King George suffered from it Beethoven couldn't hear any of it Oscar Wilde wrote and quoted it Shakespeare adored it So why don't I? They don't have All that I have to bear A "cross" some may say for my pennance ....

'Daylight Fades Again' - by David Wilding
- Daylight, It fades again, Power is gone too. "First time in two years" he said. Lucky me! Is it my habit? To go where trouble finds me Where problems seek me out Injustice is dealt A cruel hand falls Down to a blow And catches me cold A strange new world I find ....
'Song of the Stars' - by David Wilding
- Stevie said you were "Sunshine" For Edie, the "Moon" was mine And Eric said you're looking good And "wonderful tonight" But I agree with Hucknall Who spoke about his "Stars" Cos I've found one and you know who Is coming from afar For Jenni it was the "Power" No "sacrifice" for 'John' ....
'Passion Flower' - by David Wilding
- It is over now The night sky comes among us And as daylight fades it brings ending The LAST of the old NEW tomorrow will bring plenty My fire will BURN AGAIN As SHE fuels my flames Ohh how this passion flower blooms The waterfall rushes on But wait .... who goes .... ....
