Distance by David Wilding (25th October 2008, just after midnight)
She should be here,
But oh so far away,
So distant.
Will we ever be?
Will I ever find,
My heart that is with her now.
So much need, such pain and loneliness.
Forbidden love,
By distance and time.
How much I want her,
I need her here,
To fill the gap,
Heal the pain,
My needs are hers,
I feel them,
I feel her with me,
But not so close,
Just where she is,
The impossible dream.
I think too much, wish too far,
And want what I must wait for.
Why must I?
I need now,
To unforbid myself,
To be in love again,
But far worlds,
Take her from me,
And deny me what is right tonight.
